What is the role?

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development Service Operations Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end software development processes within the department. You will ensure the efficient management of these processes, analyze their performance, and propose actionable solutions for improvement. You will collaborate closely with product analysts, product owners, and cross-functional teams to manage release processes, communicate product updates, and ensure smooth coordination between various departments.

What you’ll be responsible:

  • Manage coordination and communication related to product development processes within the assigned department.
  • Define and improve the flow of product development processes to optimize efficiency.
  • Understand, plan, and oversee the product development lifecycle.
  • Actively listen to, analyze, and validate customer expectations.
  • Set and manage goals that align with product objectives.
  • Prioritize and manage requests from product, operations, and support teams, ensuring alignment with overall goals.
  • Ensure operational requests are effectively incorporated into product development teams and track the progress of solutions.
  • Foster strong communication within the team, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
  • Motivate the team, provide guidance to meet objectives, and collaborate closely with management and business units to drive success.
  • Oversee and monitor processes to ensure they align with the established plan.
  • Provide regular reports on process performance and progress to business units and management.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for the company within current projects.
  • Act as the advocate and champion for the project and business units.
  • Review, plan, and schedule the architectural process of developed solutions.
  • Plan and oversee technical processes, collaborating closely with technical leaders on key matters.
  • Actively participate in technical meetings and manage these discussions effectively.
  • Possess advanced SQL skills to support technical decision-making and data analysis.
  • Develop solutions to monitor and optimize system performance.
  • Able to clearly define and challenge the scope of work to ensure all project requirements are well understood and aligned.

We are looking for a passionate talent professional who has;

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in software project management, systems analysis, software development, process management, team leadership, or quality management.
  • Deep understanding of software product development lifecycles and operations, with hands-on experience managing these processes.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Proficiency in using office tools and project management software.
  • High-level persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and teach others.
  • A strong focus on statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making.
  • Solid knowledge of negotiation techniques and conflict management.
  • Ability to anticipate risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Comfortable engaging with software architects and technical leaders to question and review the work being done.
